April 30, 2011-LAGUNA NIGUEL,
CALIFORNIA, USA, BUENOS AIRES de ARGENTINA, MADRID de ESPANA. Infinite
Corporation, a global IT integrator has announced today that it has been named
to Oracle’s Platinum Partner Program.
This announcement comes on the heels of recent news of a series of new
product releases that will incorporate technology from partners including
Oracle.
Infinite’s latest AS/400 migration toolset, Infinite i, shall provide versions that will be integrated with Oracle’s Database, Business Intelligence and Middleware technologies . “Infinite’s strategy of migrating legacy applications from the AS/400 or System/36 environment and executing these applications on Open Systems platforms like Linux or Oracle Solaris and then migrating DB2/400 data to industry standard database technology like Oracle 11g means providing minimal risk with maximum value for IBM AS/400 end-users and ISV’s”, Raquela Kaplan, Marketing Director, Lat Am, Infinite Corporation.
Infinite has developed a family of products designed to migrate AS/400-based applications to Windows, Linux and UNIX. On May 1, 2011 Infinite will release its latest family of migration tools. Infinite i is a family of products that migrate and deploy RPG and COBOL applications from the IBM i environment to Open Systems that include Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R 2 and Red Hat’s Enterprise Linux Version 6.0. This new version will provide for the migration data from IBM DB2/400 to Oracle 11g and the new version will write to Oracle.
The latest release of Infinite i provides functionality that cannot be achieved using the IBM i OS environment. The product family will allow RPG and COBOL applications to be migrated to 64 bit Windows, Linux or UNIX. The database layer can be deployed to either MS SQL 2010 or Oracle 11g. The UI layer of the environment will be executed in a Cloud-based structure that deploys via Red Hat’s JBoss Middleware and Oracle’s Fusion family of products.
This technology is groundbreaking. In fact, We believe It is the most important technology to be introduced for IBM i OS-based applications since the 1988 release of the AS/400 itself. The Infinite i family provides a complete renaissance experience for business critical logic based on the AS/400 operating platform.
