March 5, 2011-LAGUNA NIGUEL, CALIFORNIA, USA. Infinite Corporation, a global IT integrator has announced today that its latest AS/400 migration toolset, Infinite i, has been certified by Microsoft for its Windows Server 2008 R2 operating system.

Infinite has developed a family of products designed to migrate AS/400-based applications to Windows, Linux and UNIX.  On May 1, 2011 Infinite will release its latest family of migration tools.  Infinite i is a family of products that migrate and deploy RPG and COBOL applications from the IBM i environment to Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R 2 and Red Hat’s Enterprise Linux Version 6.0.

The latest release of Infinite i provides functionality that cannot be achieved using the IBM i OS environment.  The product family will allow RPG and COBOL applications to be migrated to 64 bit Windows or Linux.  The database layer can be deployed to either MS SQL 2010 or Oracle 11g. The UI layer of the environment will be executed in a Cloud-based structure that deploys via Red Hat’s JBoss Middleware.

This technology is groundbreaking.   In fact, We believe  It is the most important technology to be introduced for IBM i OS-based applications since the 1988 release of the AS/400 itself.  The Infinite i family provides a complete renaissance experience for business critical logic based on the AS/400 operating platform.
